"Beyond the Wall" video and presentation being shown in various classes of Timber Creek High School - Orlando, FL

I began presenting my video "Beyond the Wall" to various classes of Timber Creek High School on March 25th. My presentations went well and received positive feedback. I will continue presenting in many different classes around my school in order to complete my mission to help the residents of El Talon, Colombia. The purpose of these presentations is to get students aware of "Beyond the Wall Campaign" and begin receiving donations very soon pending approval from school administrators.

As a final note, I would like to thank Timber Creek High School junior Madeline Cueva, Mr. Morris, Timber Creek's TV Production students, Wendy Doromal, and my family in Colombia for helping me with this video and project.

What is Beyond the Wall?

Beyond the Wall is the name of an organization with the mission of continuing to help the needy town of El Talon, located in the outskirts of Cartagena, Colombia.

Fernando Nuñez Esquiaqui, resident of Orlando, FL and only 17 at the time, began this organization on December 23rd, 2008, when he promised the residents of El Talon some help. On July 18th, 2009, with the help of many supporters, Fernando successfully distributed donations that he picked up from central Florida to every residents in El Talon. Since 2008, Beyond the Wall has had five successful distributions in El Talon, with plans to continue. Medical missions have also been completed...with hopes for more!

I was born in Fountain Valley, California on May 29,1991. I have a sister named Carrie, who is two years older than me. My parents were born in Colombia; my father is from Palmira, Valle and my mother is from Turbaco, Bolivar. My family and I currently reside in Orlando, FL and I currently attend Valencia College. I really enjoy traveling, writing, and learning about different cultures. I am currently majoring in Economics, and when I graduate, I would also like to get my pilot's license…since aviation has always been a passion of mine. I have many plans in my life, and Beyond the Wall will always be part of them. I feel very proud to be a Colombian-American, and I believe that this is an excellent way to show my pride.
